Professional Development Series
As an organization, we recognize the importance of pupil transportation to an effective educational program and are committed to the continued improvement of all aspects of this specialized educational service. NAPT's Professional Development Series (PDS) consists of more than 40 different courses which serve as the foundation for professionals seeking to obtain professional certification. Not sure if you're ready for certification? You can still take as many PDS courses as you'd like, and we will maintain a record for you should you ever decide to take your professional development further. Topic areas include: Orientation, Communications, Financial Management, Human Resources Management, Physical Resource Management, Operations/Systems Management, Leadership, Special Education, and Emergency Management.
Professional Development Series courses are offered in several locations and formats:
- During NAPT ACTS
- At a PDS Weekend
- Scheduled local events in conjunction with State Association events
- Online via our education technology partner, PTSI (currently unavailable as we migrate to the PTSI platform)
- NAPT Members $50 per course
- Non-Members $100 per course
