Upcoming RTI/NAPT Survey on School Bus Bullying

NAPT is currently partnering with RTI International to study bullying, violence, and other types of misbehavior that occurs on school buses in the U.S. We were funded by the National Institute of Justice to study this important issue, and we are especially interested in the strategies that school districts are using to prevent, control, or address misbehavior on buses. Our goal is to survey the transportation director, or the person responsible for handling transportation-related issues in each school district in the country. If you are a transportation director or manage transportation-related issues in your school district, please be on the lookout for an email invitation from RTI/NAPT in the coming weeks, which will contain a URL link to the survey. If you have any questions, or want to be sure you receive the survey, please contact Josh Hendrix at jhendrix@rti.org.

We cannot emphasize enough how important your participation in this survey is. As we are all aware, our students' safety is our top priority and this study will produce extremely valuable information that has never before been collected in a national context. Ultimately, this information will be used to ensure that all students have a safe and pleasant commute to and from school each and every day. Thank you for your support!
