The board of the South Carolina Association for Pupil Transportation (SCAPT) voted at its July 14-18 annual conference in Myrtle Beach to become the first state to embrace a new national campaign with the goal of zero school bus rider fatalities by 2025.

Industry Leaders Collaborate to Address Illegal Passing

In early July NAPT® joined our peers at the National School Transportation Association (NSTA) and National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS) on a letter to all US Senators and Members of the House of Representatives – calling on legislators to co-sponsor the STOP for School Buses Act of 2019 (H.R.2218/S.1254), introduced in the House by Congresswomen Jackie Walorski (R-IN) and Julia Brownley (D-CA), and in the Senate by Senators Todd Young (R-IN) and Gary Peters (D-MI).
